New Players
I welcome you to my tables and look forward to helping you learn a new system. New to TTRPG as a whole? I will also be happy to explain standard etiquette and practices when playing. I am patient and will take time to explain what you need to know!I am prepared to run a game via text or voice chat. I ask that all players come to a consensus on the method as mixing mediums tends to cause issues with communication.
I use Foundry and Discord for all online games.
All content, such as NPC dialogue, themes and descriptors will not exceed a standard PG-13 rating. The exception is if the game is a horror TTRPG (ex. Call of Cthulhu, World of Darkness etc.) These games and their content will be discussed at length during Session 0.
In games with combat elements (ex. Dungeons and Dragons), I prefer a balance of combat and roleplay. Expect frequent (but not necessarily weekly) combat sessions.
In games with combat mechanics (ex. Dungeons and Dragons, Pathfinder etc.) I will often make use of homebrewed enemies, effects and combat mechanics. These are done to provide a unique experience for the players. If running a pre-made module (ex. Storm King's Thunder) I will limit or refrain from using these mechanics if the players request it. See below for examples of mechanic changes/effects.
I will use character voices to differentiate between characters you are speaking to and I often create or use reoccuring NPCs for the party to interact with--this includes both helpful and antagonistic types of NPCs.
DnD Specific Style
I prefer to use milestone leveling and reward fun, interesting or clever solutions and entertaining roleplay. I prefer to reward players also through specialized feats, boons or small items that are useful to them, rather than always granting random magical items or gold.At no point will any NPC of mine make direct racial commentary about another group, regardless of setting. While NPCs may make comments about class (wealth/status) or class (Bard, Cleric, etc.), or education level or place of origin (ex. 'They aren't from Earth so they don't know how we do things here'), at no point will I have an NPC make open statements about race nor make racist remarks either about a player character or about another NPC.
Examples of Mechanical Changes During combat you can expect me to introduce home-brewed ideas that you may not see in any base game material. These effects tend to be indiscriminate in nature and effect all combat participants, both allies and enemies. These can include but are not limited to:AOEs
Areas of Effect that can help or hinder all creatures within them such as a section of the field where all magical healing becomes damaging.Third-Party Hazards
Forces within the location that cause indiscriminate hazards or damage for all combatants such as a panicked animals running amok in random directions.Secret Resolution Options
The terrain or location may provide a means to end combat in sudden ways if used at the right time. An example would be, during combat with a fey lord who believes they are performing for a willing audience, dropping the curtain on them and turning out the lights may convince them the show is over, at which point they leave.I make it a rule to allow players to check to understand how these effects function if the player wants to during their turn. I tend to make these checks low cost and with low thresholds for identifying them (usually a bonus action or reaction with DC 11-13 or the equivalent). Avoiding or reducing damage from these effects also tend to have a low Difficulty (or equivalent).
additional points
I encourage players to create backstories, locations and people to fill out the current setting [within reason]. This includes my own home creations and settings!
I enjoy creating supplemental materials that include audio-visual pieces and images. See here for a gallery of samples and links.
I own a cat who will make his presence known on occasion (but is not disruptive).
I plan for sessions to last between 3 to 4 hours.
I make full use of Foundry's tools for sounds, music and effects. I create my own maps, build almost all encounters from scratch to balance them to the party's needs and with certain games create multimedia to enhance the overall experience.
I record all sessions for the purposes of notes. With the permission of all party members I will upload sessions for a general audience on Youtube to enjoy and to advertise my services. If even one player is not comfortable with recordings being uploaded, then they will not be uploaded.

Games
The following games I have played extensively as both a GM/DM and Player and can confidently run a full campaign, create new or unique content for and have a firm grasp on the setting(s).
Known Games
Dungeons and Dragons 5e. — Home Campaign Setting
I am prepared to run Dungeons and Dragons 5e within my own prepared home setting, Faerun and Eberron. I would be happy to familiarize myself with other settings but will likely make some changes to suit the campaign, the players and my own personal tastes.Note
If using my own setting, Vaale, there will be a number of changes to the race options--this includes the removal or replacement of some races from official books or the shifting of ability bonuses or reworking of features for others. See here for more information on my setting. Sentinels of the Multiverse.
A superhero themed game using the GYRO system. The system itself is a step above MASKS (Powered by the Apocalypse) in both tone and ambition, but uses a simplified dice pool system similar to CORTEX. An easy to teach and easy to learn system for those who want super-powered and comic-book themed adventures. Call of Cthulhu 7e.
A mystery-solving and horror-themed game set in the real-world, this system uses the percentile dice as the primary means of determining outcomes (d100). With gritty realism, frightening scenarios and combat with cultists and what their magics call out from between the stars, expect thrills, chills and a good chance of character death or madness--which is all part of the fun.Note
The content of this TTRPG and its scenarios will be horror-themed and will include situations of violence, with references and allusions to things such as human sacrifice, occultism, murder and other disturbing themes. This game is strictly for 18+ audiences.
Known Games
The following games I have played before and have minor experience as a DM. Expect times where I will need to glance at rules or refresh my memory on more niche details.
Pathfinder 1e/2e. Vampire the Masquerade 5e. Trail of Cthulhu [GUMSHOE System].
Learning Games
The following games and systems I am in the process of learning to add to my repertoire. I am willing to run these games or systems but will be relying on experienced players and any guides to make sure the game runs smoothly. In addition there are other games and systems that I am learning about at the moment but I am not prepared to run at this time. Please inquire if there is anything you would like to see and/or try that is not listed here.
CORTEX Star Wars: Edge of the Empire / GENESYS System. Shadowrun 4e
Rules
The rules below are created from a decade of playing and seeing what makes for a general atmosphere of comfort for players. I understand some may seem stringent; know that they are here to help ensure everyone at the table gets their time and money's worth.
I welcome players of all ages from 16 years or older. If a group or party has a younger player, I will enforce content and language rules and content in the campaign will be catered for a general audience (PG-13).
Be patient with new players.
Player interactions will be kept cordial. Outside conflicts will not be aired or handled during playtime. Additionally, relations between player characters (friendships, romances, shared backgrounds etc.) will be consensual. Forcing another player to be in a relationship with your character will not be tolerated, regardless of context or type of relationship.
Please pay attention to the game while it is in session. I will be happy to answer questions to facilitate, but during the game, especially in combat situations, please remain attentive and be prepared to take your turn when it is time.
Do not critique or comment on the build of another player's character unless asked for advice. I build encounters around player's builds; 'optimal' builds are fine but respect that some people do not know the game as well as yourself OR choose sub-optimal builds for a reason.
Remember that while you are paying for this game, others at the table are paying for it as well; please respect them by not being disruptive.
Show common etiquette during game time; be mindful of people talking, try not to dominate a scene, be aware that others deserve a chance in the spotlight etc.
Do not use racial slurs or actively participate in negative stereotypes (such as offensive accents or mannerisms). You will receive one warning if it happens. If the behavior does not improve, you will be removed from play. No exceptions.
Please refrain from discussing or making overt references to sexual content or language and if possible keep strong language to a minimum. This goes double if there is a stated minor in the party. You will receive one warning if it happens. If the behavior is repeated, you will be removed from the game. You will be permitted to return next session on condition that you adjust language during the game. (The occasional curse word is fine; this is in regards to consistent profanity.)

About the GM
I am a GM who has been playing the TTRPG for about 10 years. I started in high school with Dungeons and Dragons 3.5 and have been playing various games ever since.
I am a 33 year old male, live in the United States (EST) and own a cat.
I enjoy reading, light hiking and cooking outside of my TTRPG hobby, and am an amateur historian.
I've done some paid acting work in the past that included some minor TV roles, as well as audiobook narrations. I also have six years of local theater under my belt and plenty of high school theater before that!
I have a habit of using lingo that is outworn. If I ask if there's a 'bee in your bonnet' you'll understand what I mean.
